Terms of service

Scribomatic is provided by Manicgrin Media Ltd as a writing tool. Use it at your own risk. Keep your own backups — especially the vault passphrase and any recovery key.

You retain copyright in everything you write. We claim no licence to read, publish, or train on your work.

Encrypted storage is offered as-is. If you lose the vault passphrase, we cannot restore the online copy. Deleted encrypted books may remain as ciphertext for up to 30 days, until you empty trash, or until you delete your account.

Plus is an optional monthly subscription. Cancel at any time via Stripe. Unused transcription minutes and review checks do not roll over. Audio files and handwriting photos are sent to OpenAI for transcription and then deleted. Editorial review sends the chosen section to Anthropic and does not write into your manuscript.
